EPITHALON

TREATMENT

Telomerase-activating tetrapeptide associated with cellular longevity, pineal function regulation, and healthy aging biomarkers.

SUPPORT

Epithalon (epitalon) is a synthetic tetrapeptide that mimics the action of epithalamin, a polypeptide secreted by the pineal gland. It has been shown to activate telomerase enzyme activity and support telomere maintenance, which are associated with cellular longevity and healthy aging.

Apexion Health — LONGEVITY

ACTIVATE TELOMERASE. SUPPORT CELLULAR LONGEVITY.

Telomeres are protective caps at the ends of chromosomes that shorten with each cell division. Telomerase is the enzyme that can lengthen telomeres, counteracting this shortening process. Epithalon has been shown to stimulate telomerase activity through modulation of gene expression, supporting telomere maintenance and potentially extending cellular lifespan. Its effects on the pineal gland and melatonin production may also contribute to its anti-aging properties.

Epithalon reactivates telomerase in somatic cells — a rare mechanism

Epithalon (Ala-Glu-Asp-Gly) is a synthetic tetrapeptide designed to mimic epithalamin, a pineal polypeptide. It has been shown to activate telomerase gene expression through epigenetic mechanisms. Most data comes from Khavinson's group in Russia — primarily preclinical and small human observational studies.

03 — Protocol

Epithalon Longevity Protocol

BaselinePre-treatment
  • ›Telomere length (optional, specialized lab)
  • ›Sleep quality & circadian assessment
  • ›Inflammatory & oxidative markers
Active CourseDays 1–10
  • ›Epithalon 5–10 mg SC daily × 10 days
  • ›Sleep & energy tracking
  • ›Tolerability assessment
Between CyclesMonth 1–6
  • ›Off-treatment observation period
  • ›Reassess biomarkers at 3 & 6 months
  • ›Repeat course if indicated (typically 1–2×/year)

Pulsed 10-day course, repeated 1–2× per year

Unlike daily peptides, epithalon is typically administered as 10-day courses, 1–2 times per year. Measurable effects on telomerase may persist for months after a single course. Human data is limited to small studies; large-scale longevity RCTs do not exist.

All protocols physician-supervised and adjusted per individual labs.
